“Truly great friends are hard to find, difficult to leave, and impossible to forget.”

Rosie and I started an “on-line” friendship about 2 years ago on the Flickr site. I was immediately drawn to her amazing art. Her style is vintage, child-like, and pure. Go look at her amazing work!! Simply Rosie.
Knowing that Rosie lived in Canada, I figured I would never meet her in person. Obviously I was thrilled when we both signed up for the Beyond Banff conference in Banff, Canada. I knew I would love her, but I didn’t know how strong the connection would be for me.
Her countenance is so gentle, kind and most of all humble. Her work truly reflects her personality. I felt as if we had known each other for years! I loved hearing her stories of her large family, (6 brothers and 5 sisters), and the love she has for her husband and 3 boys. I couldn’t believe how much we had on common, the strongest thread being photography of course.I so enjoyed talking “shop” with someone who “get’s it”.
As mentioned in my previous post, we took a side trip to a lake outside of Banff and created a fabulous moment in our brief weekend encounter. We about busted our guts laughing as we shot several frames of each other doing what we were told was Tabu in composition. We even did “the dip” just for Richard and Amy. Workshop attendees know exactly what I’m talking about! LOL
Here are a few shots of my friend Rosie. I miss her.

Sorry Rosie...I HAD to post this!! LOL!!
