We began the day shooting at the amazing Arrowhead Springs Hotel. This hotel has quite the history. Arrowhead Springs Hotel is not a working hotel anymore, so we had the entire place to ourselves! Unfortunately, we had  only  1 room with AC, so we took refuge in the shady areas for shooting.  The ceremony took place at their home church, and from there the reception was held at the local Country Club in San Bernardino.

It was a fabulous day!!

Kayla could not have been more beautiful and graceful. I absolutely loved her vintage inspired lace gown.

I am in complete denial that my middle daughter is turning the big 16.  How did this happen?!?!

I have watched my little girl grow into a young woman. Very surreal, yet exciting too.  As her mother I have so many dreams and hopes for her, and I know that God has a plan for her life that will exceed her expectations.  It is bitter sweet.

My Tara love has a laugh that infects all those around her.  She is independent, determined, strong willed, fun-loving, and a beautiful human being.  I am PROUD to be called her mother.

Danielle and I wanted to have a “formal”look to finish off the session, and she more than came through with her handmade  black tulle dress.  Eric looked absolutely debonair in his black tuxedo.  Adding to the romantic mood was the most amazing warm low-light.  They sipped a bottle of red wine, nestled into the wheat field, and enjoyed the moment. We even had a little John Mayer playing in the background….swoon.

And of course my favorite way to end a post…running through a field.

Eric and Danielle are a true representation of what it means to be “in love” with someone.  They have a connection that is an absolute pleasure to witness and an honor to capture.

The joy and love they have towards each other permeates the air and infects those around them. Myself, Kami and Nicole left smiling from ear to ear.  We knew this was going to be a special session.

Eric and Danielle walked through a very scary trial together, and are beyond blessed to be on the other side.  They are ready to celebrate life and their love.

I am VERY honored and blessed to capture their wedding this September. It will be nothing short of amazing.

I loved this session so much, that I had to break it into two parts.  I won’t preface this session anymore, as I want the imagery to tell their story.

On Their Way to the "First Look".

Kelley and Brian have been together for 4 years.  Brian “popped” the question at their favorite spot in Lincoln City.  We thoroughly enjoyed hearing the story about the ring!  He placed it inside two shells and glued them together.  He tossed it into the sand and “just happened” upon it.  They freaked out when the stones in the GORGEOUS ring were all cloudy!  The super glue fumes!!  All is well, the ring recovered.

As most of you know, my friend Rosie, (uber talented photographer), was planning on a family road trip to Washington and Oregon! I asked Rosie to join us and shoot!  Rosie LOVES peaches and has been aching to shoot in one.  We had an absolute BLAST shooting together, and we could not have had a more wonderful couple to work with!  I have posted a few of Rosie’s shots too!  (stay tuned for her session!)

We had many laughs as the 2 farm dogs would try to get in EVERY shot!  LOL  They kept bringing Kelley and Brian golf balls to throw for them. HA!  Rosie would throw the ball and I would quickly get the shot before they would get back.  TOO funny.

Zach and Kaitlin met on a mission trip to Mexico. They were there for 7 months taking care of handicapped orphans. They fell in love, and  Zach proposed under a starry sky while still in Mexico!  They were married at the Applegate Christian Fellowship in Ruch, Oregon.

We started early for the first look at the Red Lily Vineyards.  Racheal was SO wonderful to allow us the use of their beautiful property!
